American associations in the
moving and storage industry.
He will continue with AMSA in
a consulting capacity.
Joe led the moving industry
through the dynamic market-
place changes wrought by the
Motor Carrier Act of 1980,
the unsuccessful 1994 effort to
deregulate the intrastate mov-
ing industry, the Interstate Com-
merce Commission Termination
Act of 1995 that retained im-
portant mover-related and
consumer protection regula-
tions, and the 2005 SAFETEA-
LU legislation that included the
Household Goods Mover Over-
sight Enforcement and Reform
Act of 1995. He has also testi-
fied on behalf of the moving
industry countless times before
Congress.
Joe also oversaw the merger
of the American Moving Con-
ference and the National Mov-
ing and Storage Association
in1998. He was able to gain
and regulations as prescribed by the NC Utilities Commission.
Most importantly we provide support for our members and spon-
sors so they can supply quality service to the moving and consum-
ing public.
