The NCMA Scholarship is awarded annually.  The award is for $1,000 annually for an individual who attends a four-year college or university located in North Carolina.  The award will be for $500 annually for an individual who attends a two-year college, community college or technical institute in North Carolina.  The award may be renewed for up to three times, provided the recipient is enrolled full-time and maintains a 2.5 GPA.

The scholarship winner is chosen by a committee that is not told the identity of the applicants.  All identifying information is blacked out and the committee chooses the winner based on qualifications only.

Applicants may be employees of member companies.  Spouses, children and grandchildren are also eligible to apply.  The applicant may be a high school senior or already enrolled in a college, university, junior college, community or technical institute located in North Carolina.
